How to support children with Noise Sensitivity?

Joanna Barker (Audiologist, Specialist in Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia Rehabilitation) will be hosting this Patient Education online meeting. The first meeting in the new year is planned for 20th January 2025 6:30 to 7:30 PM (UK time). Our guest speaker is Emani Dotch (4th-year Ph.D. Candidate, NSF GRFP Fellow, UC-HBCU Fellow, and Ceres Scholar in the Department of Informatics at UC Irvine) who will talk about “Accessibility Through Awareness of Noise Sensitivity Experiences”. In this talk Emani will be discussing with us the background on noise sensitivity as experienced by neurodivergent populations, current research practices for supporting within the field of Human-Computer Interaction, and a review of her work exploring technology design to support noise sensitivity awareness. There will be the chance to ask Emani any questions, so please join live to get her expert opinion on noise sensitivity.
