Education & Training

Our Education and Training Department is dedicated to developing specialist training courses, workshops and masterclasses for healthcare professionals who wish to extend their scope of practice in assessment and management of misophonia, tinnitus and hyperacusis in adults and children. Examples of our courses are the Certificate for Specialised Rehabilitation Programme for Management of Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia based on CBT, Motivational Interviewing for Audiologists, and the International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia. We currently are supporting MSc and PhD students from Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, Psychology Department, University of Surrey and Physics Department, University of Surrey.

Middle East Workshop on Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia

2-Day Workshop on Introduction to CBT for Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia

We are happy to announce that our tour of international tinnitus workshops starts in Middle East at Amman, Jordan. This 2-day workshop is designed as an introductory training course for those who wish to gain better understanding about tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia management based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for children and adults. Norway tinnitus workshop

One Day Workshop on Introduction to CBT for Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia

Certificate for Specialised Rehabilitation Programme for Management of Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia based on CBT

This is our most comprehensive training course which is delivered 100% online. 

Course duration: 12 months

Start dates: There are four starting dates per year comprising January 2024, April 2024, July 2024, and October 2024.

CPD/CEU: 150 hours  

This course is designed for those who wish to pursue a career as an advanced practitioner in providing a specialised rehabilitation programme based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for children and adults experiencing tinnitus disorder, hyperacusis and misophonia. Students will gain a wider spectrum of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills with regard to tinnitus and hyperacusis/misophonia rehabilitation. This course will outline psychometric assessment, appropriate referrals to ENT and mental health, evidence-based practice, application of specialist CBT in tinnitus, hyperacusis & misophonia rehabilitation, service development, telehealth and iCBT.

  • You will have immediate access to 12 course modules comprising recorded lectures, multiple demonstrations of therapy sessions (recorded role plays) plus open access to handouts, worksheets, assessment and clinical management tools. Study anywhere, anytime!
  • You will join live group clinical supervision sessions which are planned for the first Wednesday of each month (6 pm UK time).
  • Throughout this 12 month training course, you will see 26 hours of recorded lectures and clinical demonstrations, take part in 18 hours of live group supervision sessions, practice in small groups of peers, complete multiple choice tests, and submit your assessment portfolio.
