Our guest speaker in our May meeting on 19th May 2025 6:30 to 7:30 PM (UK time) is Carly Sygrove (Hearing Loss Coach) who will be giving us a talk on “Adapting to Sudden Hearing Loss and Finding Practical and Emotional Support for Moving Forward”. Joanna Barker (Audiologist, Specialist in Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Misophonia Rehabilitation) will be hosting this Patient Education online meeting.  In this talk, Carly, hearing loss coach, advocate, and author, shares insights from her experience of sudden hearing loss and offers practical strategies and emotional support tools to help individuals navigate hearing and balance challenges. Drawing on her personal experience and professional expertise, Carly highlights the transformative power of coaching in empowering clients to overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and improve their quality of life. She will also introduce her new book, Sudden Hearing Loss: Stories of Hope, Guidance, and Support, which aims to raise awareness of sudden hearing loss, its practical and emotional impacts, the importance of prompt treatment, and provide support, guidance, and hope to those affected. There will be the chance to ask Carly any questions, so please join live to get her expert opinion on living with hearing loss.
