We are very pleased to confirm that the 7th International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia (ICHM7) will be held as a face-to-face event in Warsaw, Poland from 15 to 17 September 2024. Following their hugely successful international conferences on otology (32nd Politzer Society meeting & 2nd World Congress of Otology), tinnitus (12thInternational Tinnitus Seminar and 1st Word Tinnitus Congress in 2017), and audiology (XXXV World Congress of Audiology in 2022) in recent years and their overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees, the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and Institute of Sensory Organs have won the competition to host ICHM7 in 2024. The conference honorary president is Prof. Henryk Skarżyński and co-presidents are Prof. Piotr H. Skarżyński and Dr Hashir Aazh.
This event is suitable for oto-rhino-laryngologists, audiologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, speech and language therapists, hearing aid dispensers, social workers, neuroscientists, researchers, and other professionals who are involved in research or care for patients with tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia. Over the 3 days of the conference, you will have the opportunity to attend talks from a multi-disciplinary group of world-renowned keynote speakers bringing together studies of audiology, ENT, mental health, neuroscience, epidemiology, psychoacoustic, psychometry, neurology, and other areas. The programme will feature key opinion leaders in medical, surgical, rehabilitative, and mental health from the clinical and laboratory research sphere but crucially we will also hear from those with lived experience of hyperacusis and misophonia and their families. See the provisional programme here.
Warsaw is a magnificent city full of history and culture, with the conference venue based at the heart of the city, just moments away from the city liveliest bars and cafes, high-end shopping, green landmarks, and historic spots.
The call for abstracts for oral and poster presentations is open. Submit your abstract via this LINK.
We are working hard to make this international conference our most inspiring and best yet and hope to see you in Warsaw in September 2024.
