CBT for Hearing Disorders: FoundationsStage 1 of the CBT-Hear Certified programme provides a comprehensive introduction to the cognitive-behavioural foundations of tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia care. This three-day in-person masterclass, held in Flanders from 5–7 March 2026, is designed for audiologists, hearing therapists, and related professionals who wish to develop confidence in applying CBT principles to hearing-related distress.
The course is jointly delivered by ON-GEHOORD Faculty and the Hashir International Institute, combining structured teaching with case-based discussions to connect theory and practice. Participants will learn key concepts in patient education, counselling, and psycho-audiological assessment, and explore practical CBT approaches for managing tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia.

There are no clinical requirements for this stage, and no prior experience with tinnitus, hyperacusis, or misophonia is necessary. The course is open to those with a BSc, MSc, or Doctorate (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
On completion, participants will receive Stage 1 Certification: CBT-Hear Certified. This stage also provides an excellent foundation for those who wish to progress to Stage 2 – CBT-Hear Certified Practitioner.
