The 10th Annual Misophonia convention is planned for 2-4 November 2023, Albuquerque New Mexico, USA. This conference also has a hybrid option for those who wish to attend virtually. The Misophonia Association, organisers of the convention, aim to bring you the very best in current thinking, coping, management, new knowledge, and practical sessions with useful advice and support regarding misophonia.
Researchers from Hashir International Institute, Guildford, UK, are scheduled to give several presentations in this international convention. On Friday, 3rd of November, Dr Hashir Aazh, director of our institute, will give a talk entitled “10-year review of concepts discussed in international conference of hyperacusis and misophonia which has been taking place in London and Guildford since 2013”. In addition, on Saturday 4th November, Dr Aazh will present a workshop about audiologist-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for misophonia rehabilitation. Dr Mercede Erfanian, our research fellow, will present the results of her research about comparing audiological characteristics between patients with tinnitus and misophonia. On the same day, Fatma Betul Kula, our PhD student from Turkey, will present some of her PhD research about psychometric assessment of misophonia impact questionnaire and Dr Mahdi Ebnali, our research collaborator from Harvard University, Boston, USA, will present our recent collaborations about Machine Learning for Misophonia Diagnosis.
