Dr Hashir Aazh received the “Friends Forever” plaque from the World Hearing Centre in Kajetany, Poland

 

Dr Hashir Aazh received the “Friends Forever” plaque from the World Hearing Centre in Kajetany, Poland in recognition of his scientific contributions to the activities led by the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing. The “Friends Forever” plaque is an initiative started in 1997 by Professor Henryk Skarżyński to express his gratitude to those who supported the global activities of their centre to treat various forms of hearing disorders and improve the quality of life of people with hearing impairment.

 

This plaque welcomes the guests of the World Hearing Centre and celebrates famous people, artists, and outstanding scientists who have particularly contributed to the creation and development of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing.

 

In September 2024 three outstanding scientists were awarded the “Friends Forever” plaque:

1) Dr Hashir Aazh who is an affiliate associate professor at department of communication sciences and disorders (Florida Atlantic University), honorary hearing research consultant at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, research fellow at University of Surrey and the director of Hashir International Institute (London and Guildford).

2) Professor Teresa Jackowska who is a medical director for postgraduate education in Warsaw, a paediatrician and specialist in paediatric oncology and haematology.

3) Professor Milaine Dominici Sanfins who is an audiologist and hearing researcher from Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

 

Their nameplates were unveiled in Kajetany on September 15, 2024, during a ceremony accompanying three international meetings organized in Warsaw: 7th International Conference on Hyperacusis and Misophonia, the 59th Inner Ear Biology Workshop, and UCHO 2024 – National Conference on Paediatric ORL.
